Hi All,
I want to auto-logoff users after the default session time out in SAP NETWEAVER PORTAL 7.3. We are using the default Ajax Framework Page provided by SAP.
Since there is no PARAMETER in PORTAL to do this so i have opted for changing the WAR file for MASTHEAD.
I have downloaded the WAR file but i am not able to find out the JAR files.
Can somebody please tell me the location for the JAR files and guide me through the steps to do the necessary changes.

we have an ECC linked to ERP portal and have to send email to users from ECC workflow with a link (URL) to portal .. is it somehow possible to get this link or shall I maintain the link in each system manually?

We have recently started upgrading the Portal Landscape from 7.02 to 7.4 SP level 7.After upgrade, the standard Ajax theme or customized theme is not allowing some of the users to login. It simply hangs while loading the theme.

com.sapportals.portal.pcd.gl.PcdInconsistentUpdateException: Transaction cache is outdated for object" while assigning SAP standard or customized Ajax themes.
As per SAP Note: 1473054 , I have run Pcd consistency check and cleaned up some inconsistencies.
Also as per Portal Rule Collection is not working for themes after upgrade to 7.4, I have renamed and restarted the system to recreate the com.sap folder in /usr/sap/<SID>/J00/j2ee/cluster/apps location.However issue persists.
SAP Note:1676247 is saying about these kind of issues in 7.3 version specific patch levels.
There is an OSS msg created for this issue, however SAP is not updating...
Kindly give some valuable suggestions to proceed further, if anybody has come across the same scenario...

I want to customize the mashead in portal 7.3.
My customized mashead deployment and copy of new iView is everything done without any error(Step - 1 to 5).
But i do not know add my iView in ajax framework page. (Step - 6).
Please give any solution for me.
I followed below steps:
1. You need to create a Portal Application project inside of NWDS 7.3 - call it whatever you want, a different name than the existing ones from sap
2. Extract the war file (com.sap.portal.navigation.afp.masthead.war) with winzip or 7-zip and copy the content from web-inf to the portal-inf folder of your project. Don't copy the web.xml and the web-j2ee-engine.xml. They are not needed inside of the project.
3. Now you can make your custom changes to the Masthead.jsp file
4. Create the ear file and deploy it via NWDS 7.3
5. Copy your new masthead iView in the PCD from the portal applications to a pcd folder of your choice
6. Open the AFP framework page and copy your new iView as delta link into the masthead column
7. Disable or delete the old masthead iView out of the AFP framework page
8. Open a new session to check whether your changes apply correctly

Instead, your company portal must raise the terminating event when logging off from the SAP portal. To do so, the JavaScript code found in the Appendix of this document should be integrated as part of the Logoff button"
My scenario:
When user logs off from your company portal by choosing the Log Off button, a logoff action should be triggered
and must also raise the terminating event (Kill my Session) when logging off from the SAP portal.
That means, it should also killing my session.
Actual the Log Off does not handle the mechanism to kill the session.
Therefore "SAP Help" provides an Java Script Solution.

Where is the log off button coding on SAP Portal 7.3?
I using com.sap.portal.navigation.afp.masthead (AFP Masthead) but there will only display the log off button.
Could somebody help me.

I am trying to setup SSO between Portal and Abap system. I have created System Object in Portal system with Logon method as 'SAPLOGNTICKET' and have exchanged certificated between both systems.
However, when I do test connect for System Object, I get below error:

I went through many blogs over SCN which explain the procedure for setup such SSO and configuration looks correct as per them. The users being used have Administartor and super_admin role on Java stack and SAP_ALL on abap. The user with same name exist on both Abap and Java system.
Please suggest how can this be resolved. Thanks.

I would like to hide the top level navigation if user assigned with only one role.
I can create role based rule to show desktop using Master rule collection, but is it possible by doing to with role count.
If user has multiple roles show desktop1 else show desktop2

I am facing a very critical issue, please help me to solve this.
Error:
When restricting a Hierarchy object with single values in the global filter(Bex), the report in portal throws an error.
But after removing the global restriction, the report runs very fine.
In either way the report is running fine in Bex analyzer. I am finding this issue with portal only.
System specification:
BW - SAP_BW 7.31 SP7
Enterprise Portal - EHP1 for SAP Netweaver 7.31 SP7

We are on SAP EP 7.01 SP 7 version. We have implemented CAF model and there are thousands of records stored in the portal database. because of this the performance of the portal has gone down. It takes lot of time to fetch the records. We are looking for a solution where we can move old records in some external repository. we are not sure how exactly we can achieve this. It would be a great help if anybody thrown some light on it.

Hi all,
We have upgrade portal from 7.0 to 7.31 .
We have one system created for accessing non sap application .
This system is cutom one created from PAR file.
But in 7.3 while creating system we not able to see multiple option like EP 7.0.
in EP 7.0 we have 3 options 1. system from Template 2. System from PAR 3. from Folder.
But in EP 7.3 i can see only one option that is system from Template.
Then how can i create my custom System?
Any suggestions?

I have a unique scenario that requires some assistance.
I am working at a very secure site..
I am using SAP EP 7.3 as a consumer portal along with SAP Sourcing Portal. We have 2 portal systems, one for business users and one externally for customers.
Internally
I have created a URL iView to the sourcing portal to render sourcing portal content internally this works fine with no issue
Externally
I have created the same URL iView pointing to the Sourcing Portal but I am having significant issues
I am dealing with multiple firewalls so the URL request that’s being sent to the sourcing Portal from the EP is getting lost due to the loadbalancer and firewall not passing thru the proper URL
We can not get SSO to work externally either
My question is, is there another way to integrate the sourcing portal to the EP without using a URL iView?
I’ve mentioned application integration iViews but do not see that as a template. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Experts, Our requirement is simple, but we are struggling to get out of this error. We have implement SAML-SSO to an external site and have used App Integration Iview to go to that external url, but when clicked on this iview from portal role this gives the above error 'This content cannot be displayed in a frame'. Even tried with URL iview which cannot resolve this issue, url iview works fine when previewed from PCD, but it throws an error when clicked from the portal role as above. I have tried with all iview properties like launch in a new window, fetch mode to client, server etc ... Because of this issue we could not able to reach external site.
