Cleaning up old iviews/pages/worksets
Hello,
We have a lot of old iviews/pages/worksets that we continue to leave in our existing portal content folder structure. It makes it very difficult to find the current active iviews and know for sure you are working with the correct item. What is the best practice for "archiving" this old portal content? I could just re-organize the folders in portal content so that the active items are together and the old items are in an archived folder area. But should I do something to clean out this old stuff from our test and production systems? Is it taking up space on our test and production system such that we should do something to have it removed?

Chrome on iPad
I was testing the ESS Personal Profile using different browsers and devices. I was allowed to test it on Chrome on my laptop. When I tried to use Chrome on an iPad, I received an error message. Do I need to update a setting to allow Chrome to be used on iPads so that I can test and see if it works?
Safari on the iPad seemed to work fine.

ITS on Netweaver 7.31 compatibility with Motorola PDA industrial browsers
Hello,
Can you help with the following ITS SAP Internet Transaction Server question related to an upgrade from R/3 4.6c to ECC 6 ehp6 (Netweaver 7.3 ehp1) for a large Retailer.
Situation R/3 4.6c (current live situation)
1) Custom built ITS pages on external webserver connected to SAP R/3 can be viewed with a PC using Microsoft Internet Browser version 8.
2) Custom built ITS pages on external webserver connected to SAP R/3 can be viewed with (industrial browser) Motorola Pocket Browser 3.0.8 running on a Motorola PDA type MC5590 and MC55A.
Under investigation
3) Custom built ITS pages on external webserver connected to SAP R/3 can be viewed with (industrial browser) RHO Elements version 2.2.1.13 running on a Motorola PDA
Situation for ECC 6 enhancement pack 6:
1) Custom built ITS pages on internal ECC (Netweaver 7.31) can be viewed with a PC using Microsoft Internet Browser version 8.
2) Custom built ITS pages on internal ECC (Netweaver 7.31) can be viewed with (industrial browser) Motorola RHO Elements version 2.2.1.13 running on a Motorola PDA
3) Custom built ITS pages on internal ECC (Netweaver 7.31) can not be viewed with (industrial browser) Motorola Pocket Browser 3.0.8 running on a Motorola PDA. Logon fails.The issue is that logging on to the device (running ITS) does not generate a logon session in SAP ECC (as viewed in transaction SM50), also with a very basic, simple ITS application, that has only text. This can currently not easily be debugged, we would need to dive into standard SAP code to address this. The same simple page and other custom built pages can be viewed with setup 1) (MS IE) and 2) (RHO on PDA).
So far we have not been able to find detailed information on the versions that are supported by SAP and Motorola.
Can you help with the following questions:
- any experiences with Motorola Pocket Browser 3.0.8 running on a Motorola PDA MC5590 and MC55A connected to Netweaver 7.31 ? Is this supported by both SAP and Motorola ?
- any experiences with Motorola RHO Elements version 2.2.1.13 running on a Motorola PDA MC5590 and MC55A connected to Netweaver 7.31 ? Is this supported by both SAP and Motorola ?

scn sap not working in portal
Hello SCN,
I want to integrate google or scn.sap.com into SAP Enterprise Portal 7.31. Could you please let me know the procedure to integrate it.
I created URL iView for the same and assigned to a role. When i try to access the iView under the role it is throwing the below message

URL/App integrator Iview shows error 'This content cannot be displayed in a frame'
Hi Experts, Our requirement is simple, but we are struggling to get out of this error. We have implement SAML-SSO to an external site and have used App Integration Iview to go to that external url, but when clicked on this iview from portal role this gives the above error 'This content cannot be displayed in a frame'. Even tried with URL iview which cannot resolve this issue, url iview works fine when previewed from PCD, but it throws an error when clicked from the portal role as above. I have tried with all iview properties like launch in a new window, fetch mode to client, server etc ... Because of this issue we could not able to reach external site. Any quicker response is much appreciated. We are on Portal 7.31. Thanks in Advance Satheessh

we are running portal NW 7 (SP26).
Looks like I was in the wrong discussion:
Is there a guide how to setup ABAP and LDAP in parallel in portal NW 7 for SSO?
We want to provide users SSO via Kerberos (Windows Domain Controller) for our NW 7 portal.
I am looking for the documentation how to set this up.
Based on Samuli Kaski answer this should be possible, but SAP note 718383 is still it is not ...

BW iViews
Hello,
Can someone please give me some information on this.
I have an Enterprise Portal 7.02 which is used by users to access ESS/MSS
I also have a BW 7.3 (ABAP/Java Dual stack) which is used to display BW reports with its own Portal. Since this Portal has BI Java usage type, it can display different types of BW reports.
I would like to get some clarity on the following:
1) What type of BW reports I can execute from my Enterprise Portal. I know there are Application Integration iView templates by default. Can I use them to display BW reports
2) What additional type of BW reports I can execute from BI Java Portal (which cannot be executed from Enterprise Portal)

URL mapping in web dispatcher

when i try to reach the system via web dispatcher it works fine but while accessing from my laptop it goes to 502 error same link

F4 is not working in Portal
Hi All,
I am running BEx Report in portal through - RSRT - Java Web .
Here my BW Query have Input variables and when I am trying to get F4 help , then list of values are not coming.
For same Query and variable - list of values are coming in Bex analyser.
Master data is available for characteristics.
IE version is 11.0
It is happenings for all queries in my BW system.
Here I tried to do F4 search for DIVISION and it got struck(Below Image)
Any suggestions.

How to view EJB modules in SAP NWA
Hello All,
Can anyone help me understand how can we view EJB modules from SAP portal.
I can go to NWA->configuration->EJB modules. But there I can see only tabs like Method transactions, Environment Variables etc. Is there any programming part to it? If so how can I view it. The application name is like sap.com/appname.
Pls help me understand this concept.

Business Packages for ESS/MSS, HR Renewal and HR Administrator
Hi Experts,
Iam a basis consultant and had ew queries on the Business packages to be installed on our NW Portal system.
Currently we are on
Backend system : EHP6 FOR SAP ERP 6.0
SAP Portal : SAP NetWeaver 7.4 SR1
SAP_HR 600 0064
EA-HR 600 0064
For ESS MSS (both Generic & WDA),
1) Do we need to deploy EA-HR_MSS add-on on our backend ECC ? If yes, what would be the version ?
2) Based on the system we have, What are all Portal business packages (list) should we deploy into Portal? and sequence to follow?
we have different verions of (BP ERP05 ESS, BP ERP05 COMMON PARTS & BP ERP05 MSS ), which version has to be deployed ?
do I need mss add-on Portal business pack also??
3) Need to deploy HR Renewal and HR Administrator Business packages as well, so could you please advice what version needs to be installed ? Unable to find HR Renewal as a Business Package in the market place.
4) Any post-installation activity after importing the business packgages in portal ?

Iview Slow
Hi,
We have Web Application Designer based Dashboard which runs on Portal in iviews
The performance is slow and we thought of having pre calc server
Can we pre calc webtemplate queries and place in portal directly as when user clicks its comes fast
Also , is it possible the query (iview) to get refresh in early morning after dataload so when users comes it responds faster?

Common user storage for ISA b2b and SAP Portal
Hi
We have implemented ISA b2b R/3 Edition and SAP Portal. Currently we have user datasource for Portal as portal database and for ISA b2b it is ABAP (SU01).
I want a common database for the users so that the user once created through Portal, would be able to login in portal as well can login ISA with the same user id. We would be able to maintain all users through identity management.
What would be the best way to do that ?
1) Would it be possible by making ABAP as datasource so that whenever a user is created via portal, it would be created in Abap and we can assign the necessary ISA role via SU01.
or
2) Keep portal database/LDAP as user datasource. Create users in ABAP and the export the users to portal database.
Please let me know if any of the above option would work and what would be the best way to implement the same.
