We created a sample UI5 application with Pie charts in it. When we run the application as standalone it renderers all the UI elements( including Pie charts) but when we create iView either UI5 / URL iview it doesnt show the Pie charts and "No SVG Support" shows up instead.

When checked on the sdn it says browser related issue but the standalone application works fine so that shouldnt be a issue( I Guess).

Can someone help me in this regards.

How do I get the IResource object for a KM file using the guid ( /guid/9085da78-8f76-3110-4e80-e5817c5691cf)?

The requirement is to get the Properties of the KM file, but we only have the guid of the file.

We have implemented ISA b2b. Some time our user facing a problem when ISA B2B application session is expired but Poral session is active and our application got crashed ( when they are doing some operation and session of ISA B2B application session is expired)

We want to Synchronize both portal as well as ISA session.

System Details are below:

CRM  : 7

SP      : 9

Netw   : 7.3

An iview(iview->page->workset->role) on portal runs ABAP transaction code.

How can I, from that transaction code (backend), access to portal information: which page is calling the transaction?

I am trying to create a new custom editor component (Radiobutton, weird that SAP doesn't provide one out of the box) in WPC for our Portal 7.4 system. I am using the following document to guide me:

But when I try to use my custom editor component in my WPC form, I am getting the below error:

Newbie question. I was asked to look at the possibility to pull (import) /push (export) data from SLD to our System Management aap.

After spending hours several hours searching related info I found that

1. SLD is the component of NetWeaver and does not  exists on its own as a standalone server. Is it rue of false?
2. In order to play with SLD one should install, if it does not have, NetWeaver. Is it true?
3. I spent hours and hours tiring to install NW 7.4 on Windows 7 and failed on post-installation step 28 - while starting Java engine. Maybe it is because my system does not meet prerequisites (NW requires Windows server not workstation) maybe because of something else. Can NW 7.4 be installed and run on Win7 ? (I am not talking about production environment).
4. So, I ordered Linux VM with NW731 preinstalled. How can I connect to NW from browser or SAP GUI client running on Windows (preferable)?

On VM where NW731 installed I see:

NW371DUAL:/usr/sap # ls

DAA    N7J    N73  ....

NW731DUAL:/usr/sap # ls N7J

J02   SCS03  SYS

I would guess that Instance number is 03 and System ID is SCS. These two fields required on connection tab SAP Logon 730 dialog.

Can't connect. Am I doing something wrong?

What http port should be used if I want to connect from browser?

   we have same problem as this notes mentioned，but after we reinstall the portal 7.31 and apply spstack 10, the problem is still same. but according to notes after sp 10 pl9 ,it should be solved.

I have scenario where in i am not able to create UME user in SAP Portal.

Below is the scenario:

User 123456 and 123456-a exists in portal. User 123456 is deleted from the Identity Manager and only 123456-a exists.

Search result doesnt give any record for user 123456.

but while trying to create a new user with the same user id 123456, it gives the below message

User with unique name "123456" already exists.: Principal "UACC.PRIVATE_DATASOURCE.un:123456" already exists.

This behaviour is only for this particular user 123456 and not for any other user.

I tried creating multiple such different users but it works fine without any error.

We are using IDM along with this portal.

I would like to know if there is any why i can delete the user permanently or if the unique id assigned to this user can be deleted?

Can we do this through NWA or directly from the database?

I have applied proper Desktop & Display Rules settings, e.g. alias, desktop with custom theme as default, rule collection.

Here is a system landscape and solution overview:

Enterprise Portal 7.3:

• Federated Portal
• BEx Query iView
• Custom theme
• Alias
• Custom desktop with custom theme as default
• Custom rule collection

BW Portal 7.3:

• BEx report
• No custom theme
• No custom rule collection

When opening the BEx Query iView in Preview mode it picks up the portal theme (Tradeshow Plus). Here is a snippet from the source code:

in Portal 7.3 Recently AJAX Portal standard theme modified as per our requirement (Red Navigation panel) and fallowed steps with help of below document.

How to customize your Ajax Framework page with SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.30

Everything is working fine in IE8 but when we open the same in Mozilla or Google chrome  it's showing navigation panel scroll bar gap.

if anyone help on this really helpful and appreciated.

IE 8 as showing below (here there is no issue)

But other Browsers like Mozilla/Charome showing scroll bar gap.

Hi

We have implemented ISA b2b R/3 Edition and SAP Portal. Currently we have user datasource for Portal as portal database and for ISA b2b it is ABAP (SU01).

I want a common database for the users so that the user once created through Portal, would be able to login in portal as well can login ISA with the same user id. We would be able to maintain all users through identity management.

What would be the best way to do that ?

1) Would it be possible by making ABAP as datasource so that whenever a user is created via portal, it would be created in Abap and we can assign the necessary ISA role via SU01.

or

2) Keep portal database/LDAP  as user datasource. Create users in ABAP and the export the users to portal database.

Please let me know if any of the above option would work and what would be the best way to implement the same.

Hello Gurus,

A customer wants to be able to access his SAP apps via web browser. Essentially the same as he can do while using SAPgui.

The path is Internet -> SAProuter -> SAProuter -> SAP-App. This connection works fine and is productive.

So, is it possible to "translate" the used SAProuter-String in SAPgui into a valid web browser link? http://saprouter:8000;saprouter2:8000;SAPapp?

I know that SAP can do this with a specialised brwoser of theirs.. and I also heard that for this I would need the SAP Web Dispatcher. Is this correct? Can SAProuter and Web Dispatcher run on the same server? Do I have to install it on both SAProuters or only on the first one (with public IP)?

I am trying to get the current user to change the user Locale language to/from English/Arabic.

I have seen many threads which discuss the same topic but could not full-fill my requirement.

I am using the below code to get the user :

Hello All,

I want to implement NEWS functionality in our portal. We are currently using EP 7.4.

The requirement is is very much simple as below

Portal End user should be able to see the news and alerts broadcasted by different teams like HR, Finance etc.

This can be achieved by the News functionality of KM. but i would like to understand that since now we have new options like Wiki and WPC available, can we use them instead g KM?

I am particularly interested in Knowing about Wiki.

Since as per my understanding Wiki can be used to publish pages, documents among team members and also compare and maintain versions of them.

Please provide your valuable suggestions and thoughts.
